My name is Jenn Thomas, I've been doing this fundraiser with my two children (now 8 & 11) for a few years now.  The first year my youngest did it he dove into his first chapter book and is now an avid reader.   I started participating in this fundraiser because my friend, Melanie has metastatic breast cancer and she was the one who told me about it.  Since then, two more of my friends have been given the news that they too have metastatic breast cancer.   So we're raising money for them and for all the people I've never met who've been impacted by this disease.
