1. In order to reserve your spot, you must register online. It's a quick, easy way to collect donations. Go to the Register and complete the form. You will be guided through the registration process. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt with a link to your fundraising webpage and your Fundraising Kit email. 
2. People who edit their fundraising website to talk about why they are raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters tend to raise more money than those who do not personalize thier page. It only takes a few minutes to add a picture and a few words.
3. Email friends or share your page on Facebook to ask people to support you. And don't forget about letters, phone calls, and even a bake sale. Get creative! You will also recieve a Fundraising Kit email after you sign up with pictures and copy to help you post and email out. Need more help? Give us a call! We're happy to brainstorm a few ideas with you!
4. Say THANK YOU! Thank your team members for their time and commitment to participate! Don’t forget to say thank you to the people who donated to you! Call or e-mail them after the event to let them know how much money your team raised and thank them for supporting local children!

Tips and Tricks to Help Raise Funds!

If you are looking for ways for your company to raise more funds during this year’s Trivia for Kids’ Sake (TFKS) we got you covered!  Below you will find several tips and tricks to make the most of TFKS!

1. Ask 5 friends for $25, 12 friends for $10, etc. - It really is that simple. Instead of a cup of coffee, ask a friend to donate $5 to your page.
2. Host a Bake Sale: Advertise to your customers/clients that there will be a bake sale and proceeds will benefit your TFKS team(s).
3. Jean Days: Have employees donate money to wear jeans to work.
4. Join in our Pin Up Campaign: Sell axes (included in your packet) that your customers can purchase and hang up around your business to get people talking about TFKS.
5. Have Vendors Sponsor : Work with any vendors at your company? Ask them to sponsor your team, even if it’s $20, every penny helps the kids in your community.
6. Office/Branch Battles: Have more than one office or branch in your company? Have site to site challenges! See what branch/office can get the most teams or raise the most funds. Offer some incentives to your employees to get their competition juices flowing.
7. Raffles: 50/50 raffle, Basket raffles- create baskets that people will love. Ask your employer if you can sell tickets to give your co-workers a chance to win a two-hour lunch, a half or whole day off, or a prime parking spot.
8. Schedule a Game Night: Host a Monopoly, poker, bingo, or other game night and charge "admission" to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.
9. Penny Wars: The ultimate office competition! Coins count as positive points and paper money counts as negative points. Your team’s goal is to bring as many coins in as possible, but other teams can “bomb” your team by bringing in paper money to negate your positive points. Whoever has the most points at the end wins.
10. Schedule a Share-The-Profit Event: If you have a family member or friend that owns or manages a local business, ask them if they would like to donate a portion of a day's profit to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
11. Matching Gifts: Many companies may give a flat donation toward your fundraising goal, while others may have gift matching programs. Check with your HR representative to see if your company offers this program.
