It is difficult to overestimate the importance of the world’s forests. By supplying wood, mitigating climate change, maintaining biodiversity and contributing to the livelihoods of over two billion people, forests play a critical role in the world’s economies and ecosystems.
A gift to UBC Giving Day can help the Faculty to participate in community outreach, and educate the next generation to meet this challenge.
The Wild & Immersive Challenges - CHALLENGES UNLOCKED
If 5 donors give to the Wild & Immersive Program, a $1,700 challenge gift from Forestry Professor Emeritus John McLean will be unlocked.
If 20 donors give to the Wild & Immersive Program, the program will receive $2,000 from UBC’s Faculty of Forestry.
The Wild & Immersive Match - CHALLENGE UNLOCKED
Individual gifts to the Wild & Immersive Program up to $1,200 will be matched by Richard Meyer Electrical Services Ltd.
The WildCo Lab Challenge - CHALLENGE UNLOCKED
If 20 donors give to WildCo Lab on April 7, the Lab will receive $2,000 from UBC’s Faculty of Forestry.

If 20 donors give to UBC Logger Sports Team, the team will receive $2,000 from UBC’s Faculty of Forestry.
The CANLOG Logger Challenge - CHALLENGE UNLOCKED
If 10 donors give to the UBC Logger Sports Team, a $2,000 challenge gift from CANLOG will be unlocked.
