Take part in a new tradition, give Thanks to Nature!

The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) invite you to spend time in nature on October 11, 2020, for the Thanks to Nature event.

Give #thankstonature on Thanksgiving Sunday

Thanks to Nature is an opportunity to thank Nature for what it provides all year round, on Thanksgiving Sunday. What used to be a celebration of the earth's bounty at our table, Thanksgiving Sunday is still the perfect time to show our appreciation to Mother Nature and get together with friends and family.

Whether you want to take a break from your hectic urban life, take care of your health or spend quality time with your family or friends, any reason is a good reason to reconnect with the natural world and give thanks for our stunning surroundings.

That's why we invite you to spend time in a park on October 11, 2020!

A fundraising campaign for the protection of nature

Thanks to Nature is also the annual fundraising campaign of CPAWS, to help us protect biodiversity and wilderness. This year, help us achieve our goal of $20,000!

All collected funds are reinvested in projects to support the efforts of CPAWS in relation to expanding the network of protected areas, and in a projetct to provide a first immersive outdoors experience to young newcomers in Quebec.

How to participate?

1. Create a profile to raise funds for the protection of the environment

To give Thanks to Nature, create a profile on our donation platform and form a team or join an already existing team. Then, start fundraising to help us showcase the beauty and value of our parks' natural and cultural heritage.
